SUMMARY

The scope of this project involves resetting existing catch basins, mill and pave shoulders, temporarily realign lanes on I-84 eastbound, demo approximately 1 mile of existing wooden sound barrier wall, and install a new precast concrete noise wall in its place.

Key Challenges

A significant challenge on the project involved accommodating roadway grade revisions resulting from work outside of ROTHA’s scope. Because the roadway elevations changed after the catch basin tops had already been adjusted, additional work was needed to match the drainage structures to the final pavement grades. ROTHA worked closely with the project team to implement the necessary changes while minimizing impacts to the construction schedule.
